There are certainly some great homeschooled people, but I would like to see monitors in place for those who are homeschooled because this is so often done in order to isolate the child for abuse or cult reasons. I follow crime all the time, and it's like every time something heinous happens, I read "The parents were homeschooling the children." Now, of course, that doesn't mean everyone who does it is evil, but it's a loophole that makes it too easy for children to be abused without detection, and it needs to be closed. The least expensive way to do this for the taxpayers is to disallow it; but in the alternative, at least they need to staff a lot more social workers to monitor it -- and they will never spend the money doing that.

Dr. Phil did a show on this woman with the octuplets today, and he totally condemns her for doing this, which I was kind of surprised at. But he says he has received thousands of emails about it, most of them livid that she chose to do this and mad at her getting government assistance and taxpayers paying for it and that there's no way she can take care of them.
She says in the press she is NOT getting gov't assistance, but Dr. Phil says she IS getting it, definitely. She has no job, no husband, no income whatever, and her mother is who is taking care of the 6 she already had in a 1500 sq foot home, and it's already run the mother into bankruptcy, AND the mother did a video statement for the show saying her daughter shouldn't have done it and how messed up it is and NOW what are they going to do.
Meanwhile, the way the daughter paid for the fertility procedure was through a lawsuit on against an insurance company that she won -- and her mother never even knew she got any money from the lawsuit until it got found out by reporters and publicized, and she is hot that that money didn't go into their household, of course.
The daughter didn't appear on Dr. Phil but has hired (with what??) a PR person to represent her, who is trying to get sympathy for her and financial support for the children.
Dr. Phil had doctors on, who said it was irresponsible for her doctor to allow this with an unemployed woman with 6 kids, three of whom are DISABLED. Can you believe that? This woman is SICK IN THE HEAD. Dr. Phil said she was "stacking them like cordwood." I was really glad to see him take a strong stance on this, he said in the hopes of stopping others from doing the same thing for publicity.

I'll place my bet on the PR woman doing this for all the publicity she's getting.

Yeah, Mar, and also hoping to take a percentage of any paying gigs she gets her, and I'm sure there are some.

My bet is on a personality disorder along the lines of narcissism or histrionics. The plastic surgery to her unfortunate mug and 'wanting to get the love she missed out on' are clues. Finding out that she hid money from her family in order to do this, is also a huge red flag.
6 Embryo's should have never been used. I wonder how hard she pressured this doc to just implant them all? If the above personality disorders are true it is highly likely. She would have found the idea of 6 babies more appealing (and attention getting) then 3 and when it turned into 7 then 8 she must have been ecstatic over her new found 'glory'.
She says that God will provide, meaning charity will come her way. The children are innocent, afterall. I will be very surprised if she goes away quietly. She will hang on to this 15 minutes for all it's worth. No doubt she is hoping a wealthy man will swoop in and 'save' her. No doubt her parents are too.
Already companies are unsure if they want to donate to her but in the end they probably will. She has a website up with pics of all the kids with a 'Donate Now' button and can accept credit cards from what I hear. I feel very sorry for these children. I do not think they will be seriously neglected, given the media spotlight, but it is almost a given that her personality problems will affect them. I feel especially bad for the 6 kids she already has. One of the little girls already said she wasnt looking forward to the new babies coming home because 'her mommy will be stressed out all the time'. Little kids generally don't use that word so it must get thrown around a lot at home.

She definitely has a personality disorder, you're right. Also, some of the press is speculating that she may just be a big Angelina Jolie wannabe, so she may just be totally delusional. Dr. Phil strongly inferred it was time for someone to declare her not competent, and I think he's right -- but here we go dumping a bunch of kids into an overloaded foster system and bailing out an irresponsible dumb*ss.

Ugh, is there no limit to what this nut case will do?!? She has now set up a website to take donations online. Seriously. Here it is - www.thenadyasulemanfamily.com/Awful.

I left a comment, something about she should be sterilized, how it makes me sick what she's doing blah blah blah. I'm sure she'll delete it without reading it.
Food stamps, donations...yea, real responsible.

I was hoping I could read the comments that have been left but it doesn't seem to be set up that way.
That woman is seriously delusional if she thinks she is going to support that litter with donations. I hope no one is stupid enough to send her a donation, but there is a lot of stupidity in this world....
She disgusts me more than words can describe.

Oh, there will be SO many people send her money. I only hope the government pays attention and cuts her off from assistance now that she has other income. But they probably won't.

Supposedly she is already sterile due to scarring on her tubes and since there are no frozen embryos left I think she's done. But you never know, she might find some other sucker to donate sperm for her. If she actually does find a man because of the media attention, there is not doubt she will try. In my opinion she will look for a mate who already has a load of children, for maximum media storm.
People will donate. It amazes me that so many are calling this Gods will. It truley truley amazes me. It was science and irresponsibility, not God, in my opinion. There has NEVER been a documented case of a 100% natural occurance of octuplets. Septuplets, yes. (or so it is claimed)

OMG! And I have to say that those babies are freaky looking. They are not cute, they look like mutants, all bony an bug-eyed. Yes, funny how it is always "God's will" that there be 6 or 8 babies, but never "God's will" that they not get pregnant in the first place. I bet she never thought of that! These are Satan's babies! LOL. > I'd sooner set fire to my money than donate to this afront to humanity.

The doctors on Dr. Phil said at least some of them will have disabilities. This nutcase of a mother will end up farming them all out into the overloaded foster system.

I had read somewhere that she is already getting payments from Social Security for three of the previous six children because they have disabilities. What a train wreck.

Babies may be cute, but having eight, in addition to the SIX she already has, isn't. She's not getting ONE CENT from me. She would need a trillionaire's dough to support all of them.

I hope they don't release them to her. She in no way has the resources financially or otherwise to properly care for those babies--or for that matter for the six other kids she already has at home.
IMO, the best thing for everyone concerned would be for all 14 of those kids to adopted out to families who actually have the resources to properly care for them.
I truly feel sorry for all those kids. They didn't ask to be born into that dysfunctional mess, and they will be the ones who suffer for it.

In honor of Nadya Suleman, the mother of the OCTUPLETS, Denny's is now offering a new breakfast meal: "You get fourteen eggs, no sausage, and the guy next to you has to pay the bill"

Apparently Fox did an hour special on Octomom this week. I only saw a clip of it, which showed her at the playground with the kids, and the two-year-old boy was hitting her on the face and calling her "b*tch." TWO YEARS OLD! Where did he get that behavior and language??

I saw a clip of Octomom on The Dating Game this week. I cannot believe that this woman is getting all this free childcare and that they didn't yank it away from her as soon as she stopped staying home taking care of the mess she created. On The Dating Game, she had this cackly giggle that was JUST OBNOXIOUS. I think that woman is one sick mess.
