I saw this on PostSecret today, and it really annoyed me. Not sure where to post it - but I thought I'd share... What a lying cow. Women like this make me so angry, especially because if they ever found out their man tricked them or lied to them about something so important, they'd be outraged to all hell and gone, but somehow they think it's ok to lie about something which will change both of their lives forever. It's crazy...

Baby-hungry women are definitely the most scary and most offensive to our sensibilities as CF people.

I agree. I had a friend who went off the pill and conveniently "forgot" to tell her boyfriend. She wanted a baby SO bad that she didn't care what his feelings were. I remember being at the baby shower (one of the worst "rituals" EVER) and remember him being outside with a friend, looking miserable. Do I even need to say that that relationship didn't last? Their son is now 5 years old, with a single mother, and a father who is married to someone who doesn't want children.

My husband is in a band. The drummer is 23 and hooked up with an old high school friend. He thought it was a "friends with benefits" thing and she told him she was on the pill, but guess what. She's like six months along, she's got him roped into lamaze classes and working 2 jobs, his parents (who have money) are appalled, and she's got him on a noose so tight his head's gonna explode. He can't even commit to gigs on a regular basis because she puts the smack down. He was able to play a private party last weekend but she was these, was a bitch the whole time, and made him leave as soon as the load out was done even though the rest of us were going to party.
She is a stupid cow, and he is an object lesson: keep it wrapped and don't believe them when they say they are on the pill. Anyway, if she could lie about that she could also lie about having an STD.
He insists otherwise, but once that spawn comes out he's gone. His mates are already shoopping for a new drummer, lol!

PS it's even worse. The band has finally gotten a gig at a club in Marquette, MI (where the whole crew would have a beachfront camp to stay in free) and moocow is resisting. They have been trying to play there for two years.
They have to decide NOW because if the drummer can't go they have only 2 weeks to rehearse with the substitute.

Sounds like the drummer is the problem. He needs to get a spine. She can't make him do anything he doesn't, on some level, want to do. He is wishy washy about what gigs he will take and what he won't? I'd start on that back up drummer immediately. I like the pic in the OP. I think it is kind of funny (Not in reality of course, but in an abstract way). I think I will steal it as a fathers day greeting for people's MySpace pages. ;D I have a friend that got trapped into marriage by a few "accidents." He is an excellent father but everytime I hang out with him and his wife I always get the feeling that he wants to hop into my child free car, or stay at my child free house. It is kind of sad really. Poor guy.

I don't understand why they can't just use the sperm of a man who CHOOSES to donate it.

Because they're usually trying to trap the man, not just get a baby. But it can all be avoided if men take precautions as well. No one can make a man get pregnant.
