Bill Cosby, with Charles Osgood "People say: 'Well, I love children because they're so honest.' No, they're not! They'll lie at the drop of a hat."

I think children are meaner than adults though they may not have full understanding of their actions.

I think you're right. Well, they pick up any bad behavior they see with adults, too. At a certain age, they have no filter. It seems like from about 5th grade to about 8th grade, little boys would say the meanest things to people, call them fat, just anything that came into their head.

I think kids are generally a lot meaner than adults, especially at the late-elementary school and middle school ages, whcih would be about the ages you mention. And teenage girls are expecially mean and vicious, a lot more so than adult women.

Yes, a certain contingent of teen girls are vicious. In my school, it was the group of girls sort of second from the top of the social ladder, in other words, the girls who aspired to be the most popular girls, their synchophants.

I here from parents how mean children of this age can be-I think children can have some sense of entitlement which many people will grow out of.
I was considered to be a "good" child(but I paid for this in a price in be very lonely). However, I think mean to be mean would be me as a child. I think adults when they are mean try to rationlize it while children don't.
