I took my cat to have her shots Saturday. Then Sunday, I noticed something that could be a nipple but I am concerned that it could be a skin growth.

Wouldn't they have to have nipples? How would they nurse their babies if they didn't have them?

I will have to call a vet. I took her for shots Saturday and on Sunday I noticed a brown swelling that looked like it could be an enlarged Nipples. Will call vet's office.

Here's how to tell. There will be another one directly on the other side of that one if it's a nipple. I found a "tick" on my dog recently was was gently pulling on it when I discovered a matching one on the other side!! I think sometimes they change because I never noticed it being tick looking before and i see her tummy ALL the time. And yes, female cats have nipples. If they've had kittens, they'll be bigger and if not, they'll be not as sticking out.

Hi-thanks-that is what I was looking for-I will check. She was a mother which probably explains why her nipples look big. For a while it was dark but now it is light. I will check to see if there is one on the other side. It has been hot here and I wonder if it changed from the heat here. Now it does not look so noticable. I had just taken her to the vet so I think they would have notice something.
