What state or region of the country does everyone live? Those out of the U.S.--what country do you live in?
Have you lived there all your life or are you a "transplant"?
I'm in Southern California, on the coast, about 70 miles north of Los Angeles. I'm originally from the Los Angeles area.

I live in Tempe, AZ, which is a suburb of Phoenix if you aren’t familiar with the area. I don’t think it’ll ever really be “home”, but it’s where I hang my hat for now.
I’m originally from the Pasadena area in Southern Cal and hope to move back someday.

I have lived here in New York City for most of my life. I lived in Brazil (where my family is from) for 7 years, but ended up coming back.

I’m originally from the Pasadena area in Southern Cal and hope to move back someday. I grew up right near the Pasadena Rose Bowl, but *officially* we lived in Glendale. We could climb our back hill and look right into the Rose Bowl. Our back fence separated Glendale and Pasadena. I now live in Ventura. I hadn't mentioned it because it's not a place out of state or out of the country posters would likely be familiar with.

HA! I’m from La Cañada! I didn’t mention it because, well… “it's not a place out of state or out of the country posters would likely be familiar with.”

I am the nobody who Lives in Yuck Cleveland Ohio. Well at least I don't have to worry about earthquakes or Hurricane's I doubt if anybody here in this group, even knows where it is? LOL Not to worry, people who live here don't know where they are at. LOL Unfortunately I have lived here my entire life. But I have visted Las Vegas Nevada twice & California once back in the late 70's and FL once too. But I have been to Niagara Falls about 8 times lol Thats the only advantage of living up North. We are closer to Canada then the rest of you, But someday I want to Live in Nevada. They can't take my dreams away from me

truckerswife, I sympathize with you. I have relatives in Cleveland and no offense but I think Ohio is a rather ugly state, nothing to see (truckerswife chases sylvia and hits her with a baseball bat for her smart mouth, bonk, hahaaha) I hope you get to Nevada. I think you would like Virginia too, the country here is beautiful especially in spring and fall.

I live just outside Boston, MA. I live right near where I grew up.
My big grip about the Boston area is the high cost of housing. Most people whom I grew up could afford their parents house. I think something about American culture makes this difficult because children are supposed to do "better" than their parents.

I think something about American culture makes this difficult because children are supposed to do "better" than their parents. It's the same in many parts of California, and the parts of California where it isn't like that aren't particularly desirable places to live. Property values and living costs have far outpaced wages. If my husband and I hadn't bought our house years ago, we would never be able to buy anything in this area now.

I'm in Portland, Oregon. I've lived here for 10 years. I'm a transplant, one of those "damn Californians". Originally from Southern CA, about 60 miles East of LA, so I'm familiar with all CA places mentioned. I've lived in So CA, Bay Area, and No CA too.

I live in Orange County, CA - in a town called Aliso Viejo, about 5 minutes from Laguna Beach.
I was born and raised in Lancaster, PA however, I couldn't get outta there fast enough. My parents still live there but they usually fly out to visit me. I don't think I've been back to PA in about three years.
I love living in So Cal - yeah, it's expensive but I figure you get what you pay for, right? We have an ocean!

Awesome. My best friend and I were just wondering last night, "why the hell don't we live in Canada?"
I think I should look into emigrating, I hear it's tough, though.

Hmm.. "Tough" and "Though". Two words, just one letter different with such totally different sounds.
Sorry, I'm such a word-nerd sometimes.
