QUOTE, MODIFY & DELETE
You will notice that at the top of each one of your posts, it says "Quote," "Modify" and "Delete." These are tools for you to use while posting to make life easier.
QUOTE
Anyone who is new to the message board may have noticed that some replies to posts have a boxed-in quote up at the top, followed by the poster's reply. This makes it easy to show which part of the post or which person's post you are replying to. It's very easy:
1) Hit Reply in whichever thread you wish to comment. Once your text box opens, in the top right-hand corner, you will see the Quote option. Click on it, and it will automatically copy the post that you are replying to into your text box.
2) Now you will notice that the entire post has been copied. You may either leave the entire post intact or you may take out the parts which are not relevant to your reply. To do that, go to the top of the copied text and you will see some information inside brackets [] that contains the word "quote." Now you can look at the bottom of the copied text and you will see that the very last thing there says "[/quote]." You may remove anything in the text between these two sets of quote brackets by simply deleting it. Be sure not to remove any of the words within the brackets or the brackets themselves.
3) Now simply type your answer and post.
MODIFY
If you're like most of us, you will occasionally go back and find a mistake or omission in one of your posts and wish you could correct it. You can! You may change, add to, or remove any part of any of your posts at any time.
1) Once you have completed a post to the board, you will see at the top of the text box an option to Modify. Click on Modify, and another text box will open up which will enable you to go back into the posted text and retype or delete anything you want to change, even though the message had already been posted to the board. This is very convenient when you make a mistake or, for example, wish to remove information you wouldn't want all future members to see.
2) Once you have it the way you want it, select Post Message to save the changes.
DELETE
Similarly, also in the upper right-hand corner of each of your posts, you will see a Delete button. If you wish to delete your post at any time, click on the Delete option and, after confirming that you really intended to delete the post, this tool will forever erase your post.
