Have you or your partner been or plan to be sterilized in the future?

Wasn't sure how to respond to this one. My dh had a vasectomy and I had a tubal before we ever met.
Had this not been the case, and if there had been a question of one of us getting sterilized, I would have opted for the tubal.

I guess in your case, I'd select the first answer in the poll (there is no multiple choice option, alas).

I had my tubal in May of 2006. Best decision I've ever made, to boot.

I had my tubal roughly two years ago, and an endometrial ablation about a year ago. Best decisions of my life.

I had an OB/GYN who wouldn't even discuss a tubal with me because I was "only" 25 at time. Of course, this is the same doc who asked me why I wanted birth control since I was in a stable relationship. Needless to say, that was the last time I went there.

I started trying to find a doc who would sterilize me in my early 20's, but none would. I could never locate one within a reasonable distance who would even consider it unless I had given birth to two or more kids. The last time I checked, right around turning 40, the closest place was over a four hour drive away, wanted WAY too much money for it in comparison to women I have known who had them after the obligatory 2 kids, and they wouldn't accept insurance as payment. Now, I am entering menopause, so I guess nature will just run it's course.

I had a tubal. On pills prior to that.

DH is infertile as am I - nature chose for us not to be able to have kids, and we're pleased for it (I also had a hyster a few years ago do to medical issues, so that just put the icing on the cake for me).

DH had a vasectomy. I would have gotten a tubal if I hadn't been consistently refused for 10+ years.

We are considering a vasectomy but aren't 100% sure yet if now is the right time. I'm on the pill and have been for 10 years.
