It still hurts-Me and a lawyer are planning to sue the town. I made .74 cents on advertising so now I feel I can say I am a "commercial blogger". From a CF perspective-all I can say is that it is not a parenting blog.

That's awesome. How do you make money on a blog site? I have one and I don't know how to do it. Do you have to select something and then is it dependent on how many visitors? I think I'm on that same type blog as you but not sure.

there should be a section call monetize-under design. I applied for Google Adsense. If approved they put adds that they think are appropriate If you get approved let me know and I will give you some instructions. If someone clicks on an add you get money. Probably the more trafic you get the more the adds are worth. Click on adsense under design in monetize.

Thank you! I have a restaurant review site that might be my best bet. I haven't been keeping it up, but i could. Traffic has been slow there because there are so many other restaurant sites, but I could do a Twitter and get some traffic over there, probably.

Yes-they say if you want the blog to make money it needs trafic. Here is one blog about being child-free but I think the woman has fertility problems. lifewithoutbaby.wordpress.com/about/

Reading it, it sounds to me like she is childLESS, not childFREE.

I did not have much time to look at it.

"Lisa", who wrote the book gives the impression that she is childFREE. But there is a link which goes to a blog written by "Vicki" who gives the definite impression of being childLESS. I think that maybe we weren't reading the same thing.

You should announce on Twitter anytime you post and put an enticing blurb and it's surprising how many strangers will go look at your blog from Twitter.

thanks for the suggestion. Just to let you know one way my blog got indexed was from my Panda pictures. It comes up under images of Pandas. Actually I changed the pictures to ones that I was absolutely sure people were giving out for free.
I guess people look for images of Pandas and the picture of the Panda comes up with my blog. Actually, that is the way I have gotten the most visitors.

Yes, I can see where that would work. But then I would imagine most of the visitors would be children if they're looking for panda photos??

Actually, I did not think when I put the picture on it that it would be searched by picture. I agree probably alot of them would be children. I don't plan to put things about sex and violence which might be a problem for children. At this point I would take any kind of traffice(acutally I think children might be more likely to click on an ad which would generate money).
I might put something on bullying and being on the absolute bottom of the social scale at 10 which I might write which I might in part write with the idea the children might read this.
People I grew up with are talking much more about bullying.

I think it's a really good idea to write about bullying. There is a lot of talk about it now and I think it's a good thing for the adult survivors of bullying to come forward and tell their stories. As an adult survivor of bullying myself, I share my story when I can.

Isn't it funny that so many of us have been bullied -- and now continue to be to some extent by people who disagree with our choices. One thing being bullied did for me that perhaps a shrink wouldn't think was positive is made me dismiss those who were bullies after I got older and just not give a damn what they think about me, you know, just let them slip off my radar. And really, it extends past just bullies to people I feel I have nothing in common with. I know it's a defense, but I think it's better than letting them get to you your whole life and being one of those people who anguishes if everyone doesn't like them. The problem is nowadays you can't just get away from people with the internet harassment and everything. That's why it's such a big issue now with the teens. School provides an environment where you can't get away from bullies and where any little thing can ruin your reputation or whatever and there's nothing you can do about it . At least as adults, you just have to worry about home and the workplace for the most part.

Once I was an adult, I stopped caring about what anyone thought of me. Still, the actions of adult bullies can cause some devasting repercussions. Thanks to the adult bullies on my street I have had continuing legal problems, I am out thousands and thousands of $$$, have experienced untold stress and inconvenience, and I have to move out of the home I had hoped to spend the rest of my life in. I have also suffered health problems and my marriage has been strained to almost the breaking point, thanks to them. They have all but destroyed my life.
